HandiTrap VOD Recorder

Click here to enlarge image Applications:
Records the velocity of detonation (VOD) continuously along the length of a
sample of explosives or sample of detonating cord.
Users:
Explosives Laboratories, Explosives Manufacturers, Universities.
Description:
The HandiTrap VOD Recorder is the world's most affordable explosives continuous
VOD recorder for testing explosives samples. The Operator inserts a continuous
resistance
VOD
PROBEROD into the explosives sample and connects the PROBEROD to the
HandiTrap through coaxial cable. When the explosives detonates, the HandiTrap
automatically records distance and time data. After the test the Operator can
easily transfer the data from the HandiTrap to a PC or PDA for graphical display
and VOD analysis. The Operator can easily see VOD changes along the length of
the explosives sample.

The HandiTrap is far superior to discrete point VOD recorders (such as those
using fibre-optics) because the HandiTrap collects 1,024 data points at a
recording speed of 1 MHz to precisely profile the change in length with time of
the VOD PROBEROD as it is consumed in the detonation head.
Accessories:
0.9 m (3 ft.) long rigid VOD PROBEROD for inserting into an explosives sample.
Coaxial signal cable (RG-58/U) for connecting between VOD PROBEROD and HandiTrap.
Requirements:
A PC running Windows '95 or later, or a PDA running the Palm operating system is
required for post-test data transfer, distance versus time graphical display,
and comprehensive VOD analyses of the data. All software is provided at no
additional cost and may be installed on an unlimited number of PCs and PDAs.
